Akubra devoted several years of research and development before releasing a crushable 100% fur felt hat that was up to their standards of durability and weather resistance, and the result has been worth the wait. The felt has enough body to support a full crown and larger brim, yet is flexible enough to pop back into shape without taking a permanent crease after being squashed in your bag or aircraft luggage bin. If you've ever left your full-size hat at home because of the inconvenience of traveling with it, this hat is for you. Comes equipped with internal chincord hooks for Akubra's optional braided kangaroo detachable chincord ($18.95). 3" downturn brim with welted edge. Unlined (linings don't fair well in packable hats) with padded fabric sweatband. Crown height: 4 3/8" front, 4 3/4" sides, 4 1/4" rear. Made in Australia. Color: Dark Khaki (grayish brown). Sizes: Metric 55 to 61 (6 7/8 to 7 5/8).
